Who Needs Affordable Housing in Greater Cincinnati?

Apr. 2, 2013 - CINCINNATI – Alice Skirtz, President of the Affordable Housing Advocates (AHA), announced today that in conjunction with their “Everybody Knows” awareness campaign, and in association with the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, PNC Foundation and the Cincinnati Development Fund, a new educational video about affordable housing is to be released this spring.  A public viewing will occur on Tuesday, April 23rd, 5:30 PM at the United Way Convening Center (2400 Reading Rd).  Read more…

 

PSAs shine a light and spark discussion about affordable housing.

The Affordable Housing Advocates (AHA) releases a series of public service announcements (PSA) to dispel common affordable housing myths and to put a face to affordable housing in Greater Cincinnati.  The broadcast ready PSAs are part of a youth and faith based public education and awareness campaign AHA launched earlier this year.  Read more… and Watch PSAs!

AHA’s 2011 Housing Report for Hamilton County

Affordable Housing Advocates presents its 2011 report on housing in Hamilton County, Ohio. The study contains new data from the 2010 Census and other sources.   This information shows that the housing problem is even more challenging. The economy remains in a downturn and this exacerbates chronic housing problems in our community.  Achieving the goal of good affordable and accessible housing requires even more concerted effort in the coming years.
